PURSUIT
Pursuit combines gesture, authentic movement, and dance in a choreographic score.
Filmed on an abandoned airstrip on Bell Island, Newfoundland, the central image is intertwined hands, inspired by the expression “all hands” defined as everybody engaged in the same pursuit. For my purpose, everybody becomes every body. The intertwined hands are one’s own; fingers laced in contemplation, desperation, and prayer.
