A movement director is responsible for creating and overseeing the physical aspects of a production, such as gestures, body language, choreography, and overall design of the bodies on stage.

They work closely with the director and actors to develop movement sequences that enhance the storytelling, character development, and overall aesthetic of the performance.

Movement directors often collaborate with other creative team members, such as choreographers, fight directors, and designers, to ensure that the movement elements of the production align with the director's vision and the overall design concept. They may also conduct movement workshops or rehearsals to help actors explore and develop their characters' physicality.

A movement director, or body designer, helps to bring the script to life through the bodies on stage, adding depth, expression, and visual interest.
